OUR SERVICES

PROFESSIONAL AND LEGAL

The Elizabeth House has lawyers, accountants and other professionals on retainer to help, at no cost, with your every need. Some of our services include, Citizenship and Immigration, General Counsel, Landlord-Tenant Disputes, Workplace Safety, Financial Advice, Government Benefits, Information Seminars and Support Groups.

TUTORING

Tutoring is available in a variety of subjects based on individual needs and goals. Sessions are 30 to 45 minutes in length, with a ratio of 1:1 or 1:2. Available subjects include: Elementary Level Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Spelling, Geography, Study Skills (Elementary, High School, Post-Secondary) and other subjects as requested. Tutoring is available virtually or in person, following our strict Covid-19 policy. Please note, availability of tutoring is based on instructor skill set.

RECREATION THERAPY

Elizabeth, our Senior Community Ambassador and qualified Recreation Therapist, works with individuals between the ages of 5 and 105! Let us show you how we can help you improve your quality of life, through the use of recreation. Some of our services include:

Cognitive and physical exercise for Seniors experiencing isolation or cognitive decline.

Using recreation as a tool to teach life skills for individuals with physical or developmental impairments.

Recreation as a coping mechanism for mental health.

PERSONAL TRAINING

Overall health and nutrition are a key aspect in leading a long and healthy life. Personal training can be expensive, and it is our goal to ensure that everyone has access to the resources they need. Our Community Ambassador Tara is certified through the Ontario Fitness Council and is committed to showing her clients that a healthy lifestyle consists of a personalized exercise regimen and a well balanced diet. Tara specializes in weight loss, sports specific training and strength and conditioning. Sessions are available virtually or in person if safe social distancing is possible.
